Dear Friends,
With 2025 drawing to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have undertaken together to preserve the deep significance of Minidoka National Historic Site and the lessons and legacy of a gross violation of constitutional rights in our nation's history. Your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our success, and I am deeply grateful.
As the donor-supported nonprofit partner for the Minidoka National Historic Site, we achieved remarkable milestones, including the expansion of our educational programs and outreach efforts — all aimed at honoring the experiences of Japanese Americans unjustly incarcerated during World War II. As we look to the coming year, we are determined to continue our mission of education and remembrance. Our mission is even more important today with the growing hateful rhetoric and unjust acts that target communities of color, much like 83 years ago.
Your gift helps fund our staff and general operations, which are not supported by program specific grants. Your donation allows us to continue our work on behalf of Minidoka NHS. Your contribution directly aids our team to create innovative programs, maintain the site's infrastructure, and ensure that the stories of Minidoka remain vibrant and accessible to future generations.
Please consider a year-end gift to Friends of Minidoka - a one-time donation, a recurring monthly gift, or a multi-year pledge. Together, we can ensure that the lessons of Minidoka are never forgotten.
With gratitude,
Robyn Achilles
Executive Director
