  • Minidoka National Historic Site 1428 Hunt Road Jerome, ID, 83338 United States (map)

Write your own haiku or senryu poetry of try your hand at Japanese sumi-e painting. After visiting the Visitor Center or taking a tour with a park ranger, join Friends of Minidoka at our activity table to learn more about the art of poetry and sumi-e painting and why it was so important to people who were incarcerated at Minidoka during WWII. After making your painting or writing your poetry, display it in the Visitor Center or take it home with you.
