About the event

Join us for an online presentation of our latest publication, Education & Freedom at Minidoka: The Diary of Superintendent Arthur Kleinkopf.

During this 1-hour online presentation we'll discuss the daily realities, contradictions, and moral tensions of working inside a World War II concentration camp through the diary of Minidoka’s Superintendent of Education Arthur Kleinkopf.

Education and Freedom at Minidoka is part of Friends of Minidoka's project Minidoka Memories: Stories that Connect and Heal which will collect oral histories from the Idaho community with ties to the historic Minidoka War Relocation Center and the unjust incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII. If you have a story you'd like to share, or have questions about the project, we'd love to hear from you at memories@minidoka.org.
