Over 1,000 Minidoka internees served in the U.S. military during WWII. Soldiers of the 442nd
fought in major campaigns in Italy, France and Germany; earning more than 18,000 individual decorations
for bravery. The 442nd is the most decorated unit in U.S. military history.
